Plan Your Visit!
Experience Sunday Mornings @ AWC!
Going to a new church and meeting a bunch of new people can be intimidating. We want to do everything we can to help make your visit to Albion Wesleyan Church a great one.
Here are a few questions you may have as you plan your visit: Where are you located? Albion Wesleyan Church is located at 800 E. Main Street in Albion, IN, across from the Public Library. You’ll probably find some parking spots close to the main entrance under the carport in back of the church building. You’ll be greeted by a host at that door who will point you in the right direction. |
We are located at 800 E. Main Street, Albion, IN 46701.

How can I get there? Do you or someone you know need a ride? We have a Bus Ministry and would be happy to pick you up as needed. Please Contact Pastor Sam or Josh Slone for more details or to Schedule. What are your worship services like? We gather Sunday mornings at 10 for about an hour to celebrate what God is doing in and through us. You’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, a band leading us in heart-felt, expressive worship music (with song lyrics projected on the screens so you can sing along or just engage with the words — however you feel comfortable), and a biblical message that is relevant to life. After a few songs, the pastor will ask the ushers to come forward and pass around offering plates. This is primarily for people who consider AWC their church home. Please don’t feel obligated to give. Giving is an act of worship that flows from our grateful hearts for every good gift from God in our lives and it demonstrates our trust in His provision for our needs. Then a few more songs, before Welcome/Greeting Time and the Kids and Teens are dismissed for their learning time together. Normally 1 Sunday a month the Kids and Teens stay in the regular service. Then our pastor preaches an encouraging, hope-filled message, digging into a passage from the Bible, making it understandable and showing how it’s relevant for our lives today. We believe God’s Word is true, but just knowing what it says is pointless if we don’t put it into practice. So, at the end of the message, we often have a time of commitment when the pastor invites people to come kneel at the front and pray or pray in their seats. Once a month, normally on the last Sunday, we celebrate communion together. This is a time to remember what Jesus did for us in dying on the cross and then rising again. We celebrate open communion at AWC, which means that you don’t have to be a member to participate. If you love Jesus and are grateful for the sacrifice he made for you, you are welcome to join us. But you won’t find anyone judging you if you choose to stay seated. What should I wear?
You don’t have to wear anything special to fit in. We tend toward casual. Come in what is comfortable for you. What about my kids?
Quality childcare is available for infants and toddlers during the service. The nursery is a fun, clean and safe place for your little ones, staffed with loving workers who will provide quality care. |
